During the past summer holiday, a total of 11 teachers and students from our school’s Chinese History Panel took part in the “Inner Mongolia Historical, Cultural and Natural Ecology Exploration Tour” organized by the Education Bureau, visiting Hohhot and Baotou. Teachers and students visited cultural attractions such as the Inner Mongolia Museum, the Mausoleum of Genghis Khan, the Zhaojun Museum, and Monishan Intangible Cultural Heritage Town. Through these visits, they learned about the long and rich history of Inner Mongolia’s grassland civilization, as well as the interaction, conflict, and integration between nomadic civilization and agricultural civilization. At the same time, the group also visited the Subohan Grassland and Whistling Dune Bay, where they stayed in Mongolian yurts, experienced camel riding, and took part in activities such as the Mongolian Andai Dance. These experiences allowed them to learn about the lifestyle of grassland herders and cultivate respect and care for nature. In addition, they also visited the Baogang Industrial Zone with the tour group, gaining an understanding of how enterprise development can promote local employment and economic growth, as well as improve the social landscape.
