Introduction
Yan Oi Tong Tin Ka Ping Secondary School is a subsidized
co-educational secondary school established in 1987.With an enrolment of 1129 students, there are altogether 29
classes, graded from F.1 to F.7 in the academic year 2006-2007.It is well-equipped with 25 classrooms, 4 science laboratories, an
assembly hall, library, gymnasium, medical room, covered playground and more than 10
special rooms such as language laboratory, 3 multi-media learning centre (MMLC),
2 computer laboratories, small-group classrooms, student activity centre and so on.
All the rooms mentioned above are air-conditioned.
School Structure
We have one principal as the head of the school and two
vice-principals for managing the operation of school. There 67 members of
teaching staff , 12 members of non-teaching staff including 3 laboratory
technicians, 7 clerical staff and 2 social workers. The present teacher-student
ratio is 1 to 19.3.

A) Mission
Our school, which is a subsidiary of Yan Oi Tong ( a renowned
charity organization in Hong Kong) , provides secondary education for youths in
Tuen Mun.
It is committed to promoting professional development of
teachers, advocating cooperation with parents and people from all walks of life,
creating a disciplined and stimulating environment for both learning and
teaching, and above all, providing education of top quality.
We believe, by providing our next generation with a
well-rounded education, our youths will develop into people who are
knowledgeable, conscientious, and with multiple intelligence, as well as can
make a substantial contribution to social justice and to the development of our
motherland. This belief is reflected in our school motto.

School Objectives
I. Students
1. To facilitate students in acquiring basic knowledge and
skills, including good use of two languages (Chinese and English), numbers and
information technology (IT); and to develop their multiple intelligence.
2. To cultivate in students the ability and positive
attitude towards life-long learning, logical and critical thinking.
3. To train students in physical fitness and mental health
as well as foster their aesthetics and creativity.
II. Teachers
1. To regard 'students' as the centre of education;
to understand their life and thoughts, and to care about their personal
growth.
2. To strengthen management and raise efficiency. Heads of
panels and departments set good examples for their subordinates.
3. To evolve a culture of continuous learning and
department reform, and to enhance the professionalism of teachers.
Our school was awarded:
1. Outstanding School Awards in 2001 (by Quality Education
Fund, Education and Manpower Bureau)
